Privacy, explained properly
Privacy Policy
The short version: I only ask for information that helps me answer you, send something you requested or support a genuine enquiry. I do not sell your personal information.
Last updated: 21 October 2026
1. Who is responsible for your information?
The Global Option is operated by David Jenkins from Mexico. For privacy questions, requests or concerns, email david@theglobaloption.com.
2. What information may be collected?
Depending on how you use the website, I may collect:
- Your name, email address and telephone or WhatsApp number.
- Your country of residence, programme interests, family circumstances, timing and the information you choose to include in an enquiry.
- Your request for a guide or other resource.
- Your cookie and privacy preferences.
- Basic technical and security information generated by the website or hosting provider, such as IP address, device, browser and access logs.
Please do not send passports, bank statements, tax records, medical information or other sensitive documents through the general website forms.
3. How is the information used?
I may use your information to:
- Respond to your enquiry and understand which options may be relevant.
- Send a guide or information you requested and follow up personally about that request.
- Arrange a conversation and maintain a record of our communication.
- Operate, secure and improve the website.
- Comply with legal, regulatory, fraud-prevention and record-keeping obligations.
- Measure advertising or website performance only where the relevant technology is enabled and your consent is required and obtained.
4. Consent and the legal reason for using information
The reason for using your information depends on the circumstances. It may be because you asked for information or a conversation, gave consent, because it is reasonably necessary to operate and protect the website, or because the law requires it.
If you consent to optional marketing, analytics or advertising use, you may withdraw that consent at any time.
5. Who may receive your information?
Information may be shared with trusted providers that help operate the website, forms, email, document delivery, hosting or customer records. They should only use it for the service they provide.
If you choose to progress with a residency or citizenship matter, relevant information may also be shared—with your knowledge—with Holborn Assets and the appropriate legal, immigration, tax, investment, banking or other specialist providers needed to assess or handle your case.
I do not sell your personal information. I may disclose information if required by law, to protect legal rights or to prevent fraud or misuse.
6. International processing
The Global Option works internationally. Your information may therefore be processed in Mexico, the United States, Canada, Europe or another country where a relevant service provider or specialist operates. Reasonable steps will be taken to use appropriate providers and protect information during international processing.
7. How long is information kept?
Information is kept only for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose described, to maintain business and compliance records, or to resolve a request. A general enquiry will normally be removed or anonymised within 24 months of the last meaningful contact unless there is an ongoing relationship or a legal reason to keep it longer.
8. Your choices and rights
Depending on the law that applies where you live, you may ask to access, correct or delete your personal information; object to or restrict certain uses; withdraw consent; or receive a copy in a usable format.
To make a request, email david@theglobaloption.com. I may need to verify your identity before completing it. You may also unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time.
9. Security
Reasonable administrative and technical safeguards are used to protect personal information. No internet service can promise absolute security, so please use the appropriate secure channel before sending sensitive documents.
10. Children
This website is intended for adults. It is not designed to collect personal information directly from anyone under 18. Information about children should only be provided by a parent or legal guardian when relevant to a family enquiry.
11. Cookies and updates
For information about cookies and similar technologies, read the Cookie Policy. This policy may be updated when the website, services or legal requirements change. The date above will show the latest revision.
